In 2026, Object with Name launched the high-end accessory brand rushera in collaboration with Plastic Bakery, a company that manufactures various objects from recycled plastic. For rushera's first accessory collection, furniture from IKEA and various other brands was "hacked" to incorporate rushera's various accessories.

rushera 1st collection - object hacking
For rushera's inaugural collection, we explored the concept of "Object Hacking." Standard furniture from IKEA and various other brands was reinterpreted and "hacked" to seamlessly incorporate rushera's mutated accessories. This process breathes new life into mass-produced items, turning them into one-of-a-kind art pieces with a satirical edge.
The Archive of Raw Materialization
rushera collects haphazardly mixed waste plastics and so rts them by color and material. Through this sorting process, it secures pure raw materials for Rushera's unique designs, and combines these classified materials to bring out the distinctive patterns and colors characteristic of unprocessed plastic.
symbol
rushera's symbol embodies the process of scattered plastic particles gathering to be reborn as accessories for a new character. This symbolizes the recycling process and the sculptural beauty of the resulting product.
story
To design more unique and attractive objects, we sought a new approach outside of traditional methods. We established a narrative that twists and satirizes the harsh realities of our global environment and built our work on that foundation. The result is a collection of objects that are strange and uncanny, yet possess an ironic charm that makes you want to keep them close.
Brand narrative
The massive traces left by humans are being engraved into the geological layers beneath the earth, much like the fossils of Mesozoic dinosaurs.
The life forms most directly affected at the time were marine creatures; initially, they endured an uncomfortable coexistence with the various plastics discarded by humans, but they gradually evolved into a symbiotic relationship with plastic.
After passing the Anthropocene (the era when humans dominated the world) and reaching a point where all plastics that once existed on Earth have vanished, a new, higher life form that dominates the planet establishes a foundation and reaches a level capable of finding and restoring historical records from the past.
Through these restored records, they focus on a peculiar turning point in the 3000s. Unlike the flow of all materials up to the 2000s, which moved from the sea to the land, plastic—a material from the land—was found in reverse within marine life in fossils from the 3000s.
The new dominant species could not determine why plastic had moved in reverse from land to the sea and wondered about the reason. They called this era the "rush" era.
- Sea worms absorbed plastic combs into their skin, mutating them into defensive spines to protect against predators.
- Coral evolved into a hard new species by fusing geometric plastic pieces with a calcareous skeleton.
- Fish developed an outer shell to protect their bodies by weaving discarded nets between their scales.
- The scallop integrated plastic spoon with its shell to complete a streamlined body and maximize swimming efficiency.
- Starfish merged with straws to extend limbs, increasing mobility and expanding range into unknown territories.
Material Expansion & Color Archetype
In addition to the five characters, we experiment with various other characters and the infinite possibilities of recycled plastic. We study the unique patterns and colors that emerge depending on how materials are mixed and processed, and collect the visual details that are born anew each time.

- (Object Hacking)
We propose new objects that combine rushera's unique accessories with furniture and accessories from various brands, including IKEA, by 'hacking' them. By applying the evolution of recycled plastic to everyday ready-made products, we have transformed ordinary objects into unfamiliar and special objects.
